Immerse yourself in the artistry and science of glass fusing in this 6-week intensive workshop designed for advanced glass enthusiasts. Dive deep into cutting-edge techniques and explore the limitless potential of kiln-formed glass. This hands-on course will guide you through advanced layering, intricate pattern making, reactive glass chemistry, and multi-stage firings to achieve complex textures and effects. Students will then move on to learning how to cut glass, with guidance on achieving clean, precise cuts for their unique heart designs. After receiving their glass, students will transition into the American Tiffany copper foil technique, a classic method for assembling stained glass pieces. Throughout the course, students will receive individual support as they progress from glass cutting to the final assembly of their stained glass heart project. By the end of the course, each student will have a completed, one-of-a-kind piece to take home, along with the foundational skills to continue exploring the art of stained glass.
