Introduction to Mosaics

Service Description

Join us as we explore the ancient art of mosaics. In this mosaic art class, students will work to embellish a picture frame with pre-cut glass and other materials such as tiles, penny rounds, and beads. Wendy will challenge students to create a frame that they are proud of! They will learn how to use glass nippers to shape pre-cut pieces of glass. Using this technique, they will work to design a picture frame that they can keep or give as a gift. Who doesn’t have a photograph that could use a unique frame? The glue will need to dry overnight before grouting. Students will return the following day for a detailed instruction of the grouting technique to complete their piece.
