Who are these classes for & what should I expect?
These classes are great for beginners, ages 10 and up! You will pick the technique you like to create, with options starting at $45. Jordan will instruct the class, sharing her expertise, you will learn how to make the jewelry. Jordan will then fire the jewelry, and you can come back to pick up the finished piece! See the different techniques offered below. We also provide an option to upgrade your jewelry to Sterling Silver.
*If you would like to create earrings, check out as normal with your selected technique. You will be able to create up to 3 pairs with the materials provided.*
Cancellation policy
Cancellations made 30 days or more in advance of the scheduled event may receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled event or subject to credit only. Cancellations made within 7 days or less will not be subject to any credits or refunds. No-shows will not be subject to any credits or refunds.
Dichroic Glass
What is Dichroic Glass? "Dye-CROW-ick”
The word "dichroic," comes from the greek word, "dichroma" meaning two or more colors. This presents when holding a piece of dichroic and tilting it!
Dichroic Glass is what inspired Jordan to begin working with glass. Since 2009, Jordan has dedicated countless hours to researching dichroic glass. She spends her time exploring new techniques and developing her skill.
The Glass Bar is the only studio in MA that offers dichroic glass classes backed by this level of knowledge. We promise you will create an amazing piece, or two!
What will I learn?
Jordan will teach you all the tricks you need to know to create a beautiful piece of dichroic glass jewelry. You will learn extensive glass-cutting skills and an insight into kiln working. You’ll leave feeling confident knowing you've made a piece that will have you bragging.

Decorative pendant
The decorative technique involves starting with a black base that you cut/shape into your liking. Then you decorate the piece using glass remnants.

Sheet pendant
The sheet pendant is starting with a piece of dichroic that you choose based on the color sample provided. You will shape that piece and the joining base piece to fit.

etched pendant
Etching starts with the sheet technique. Then, you will chose stickers to create a design and use etching paste to remove the excess dichroic film, leaving the design you created with the stickers in the dichroic.

Stacked pendant
Stacked is the process of designing a shape out of a base of glass, then decorating the base with dichroic glass. Then you cover that layer of dichroic with a second layer and cap the entire pendant. The final result will show multiple layers.
